I can write better songs for Wendy Shay – Kelvynboy

If you thought Bullet writes the best of songs for Wendy Shay, relax till you hear Kelvynboy’s message about songwriting.

Kelvynboy has actually said that he can write better songs for Wendy Shay to sing.

Yes! Better songs than ‘Uber Driver’, ‘Astalavista’, Psalm 35?, Stevie Wonder and ‘Bedroom Commando.’

He said this when he appeared on Delay’s show.

“If you say, you’ll be called disrespectful. If it’s about songs, I could write better songs for her to sing” he said.

He said this in response to claims that Wendy Shay may have produced better songs than him – a reason she won the VGMA’s Best New Artiste of the Year award over him.

He also told Delay that most Ghanaians do not even listen to songs before drawing conclusions.

According to him, if artistes are awarded according to their airplay, undeserving people will be awarded because songs are just played, not because one is nicer than the other.

“Let’s not compare. She did her work and I as well did mine but one thing I’ll say is that, in Ghana, it’s not about your hard work so I’m not surprised”, he said.

He further noted that while others build their craft around hype, news and hit songs, he does it with his personality.

He, however, acknowledged that all acts nominated for the category of new artiste rightfully deserves it.

Kelvynboy who has refuted claims that he snubbed Wendy Shay at Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s Peace conference has also stated that he has no sexual feeling for Wendy Shay.

He says he would rather want to settle with a more beautiful and decent woman.
