In attendance were teachers in the district and directors of Ghana Education Service in the district. Over 600 young girls were encouraged by the Speakers to overcome any challenge life will throw at them and become whatever they desire to be. Ms Benedicta Lasi, a lawyer and social influencer, used her personal story to encourage the girls never to give up on their dreams.
Ms @Anita Opoku Tawiah, the gender commissioner, spoke about sexual harassment young girls face in school and their homes and called on stakeholders to do more to protect girls.
The President of GRASAG NATIONAL, Mr Samuel Sagoe in his address, asked the girls to focus on higher education to the Graduate school level and asked the girls to make themselves available for leadership positions in their schools and wherever they find themselves.
The highlight of the day was from a video presentation Ms Heartwill Selasie Tamakloe, president of GRASAG UEW. Her presentation focused on the consequences of bad choices as a young person.
