Drama as landlord locks court over unpaid rent

Report has it that a customary court in Amurri, Enugu state, Nigeria has been locked up by the landlord over unpaid rent.

According to reports, the Customary Court, presided by Egbo, Esq., in Amurri town, close to Agbani town, which houses the Nigerian Law School, Agbani campus, has been locked up after the occupants were unable to renew the rent.

The incident which took place on Friday, November 12, prevented the judges from sitting and lawyers unable to have their cases attended to as well.

After some enquiries, lawyers told that the courtroom’s rent is due but it has not been renewed so the owner locked up till the renewal is done completely.
