Ghana’s 2022 World Cup qualifying opponents, South Africa has suffered another massive blow ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe and Ghana as Sekhukhune United star Yusuf Maart has been ruled out of the games due to injury.
The Bafana Bafana who are keen to secure qualification to the final playoffs of the qualifiers will host the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Thursday, November 11, 2021 before they travel to Ghana for the final Group game at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday.
Ahead of the all-important games, coach Hugo Broos side has been hit with another injury blow.
Yusuf Maart who was named in the final 24-man squad for the crucial games will not be available for the Bafana Bafana due to injury.
However, Super Sports United’s Jesse Dean who was omitted from the final squad for the qualifiers has been recalled to replace Maart.
Sekhukhune United star becomes the third casualty as Kaizer Chiefs’ Sifiso Hlanti and Victor Letsoalo have all been ruled out with injuries.
Bafana Bafana currently top Group G with 10 points after four matches with Ghana a point behind.
