On 5 October 2020, Premier League club Arsenal announced the signing of Partey on a long-term contract, after activating his £45 million (€50 million) release clause with Atletico Madrid.
He was given the number 18 shirt, which had been vacated by Nacho Monreal the previous season.
Partey’s first season with Arsenal did not go well for the midfielder, injuries delayed his adaptation to his new environment.
This season the Black Stars deputy captain has started with new energy and a key stat for this has been highlighted.
Partey would miss out on Arsenal’s first three league games of 2021/22, meaning that he is now unbeaten in the Premier League since all the way back in April.
Surprisingly, Arsenal failed to win six of the ten league games Partey missed last season, demonstrating his significance to the team once again.
Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League, three points behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
